Implement project

Get started and realize your idea with our help after you have received your notification from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. We are with you all the way to ensure that your vision becomes a reality.

Turn your idea into reality

Have you received approval for your project from our board as well as a formal decision from the Swedish Board of Agriculture? If so, you can just get started and implement your project. We at the leader office are of course here to support you when you encounter questions and concerns.

We offer startup meeting and support

We offer new project information and startup meetings where we go through practical matters, rules, and routines for what applies when you run a leader project. We are of course available even during the implementation, in case questions and concerns arise.

Please feel free to download our project handbook, where you will find guidelines for implementing a project.

Follow the approved project plan and budget

It is important that you follow your decision, budget, and work according to the project plan. Contact us at the office if the project cannot be implemented as intended. Likewise, if more time is needed or if the financing of the project changes. It is important that this contact occurs before you make any changes. If you deviate from the project plan and your decision, you risk not receiving the funds you have applied for. Only the expenses stated in the decision are eligible for support.

Some important advice at the beginning

  • Read through your decision carefully and follow the applicable conditions.
  • Be aware of the project's end date.
  • Make sure the correct logos are included on all materials. We can advise you if you are unsure.
  • Don't forget to separately account for the project's expenses. You should be able to produce a report from the accounting that only includes the expenses related to the project.

Use our logos

Let it be known that it is a leader project

All projects that have leader funding must show this by using our logos. This applies to, for example, advertisements, information sheets, and websites. The logos can be downloaded on the page for forms and logos.

We are happy to help you spread information about your initiative in our channels – feel free to tag us to draw our attention to what is happening.

Ambassadorship

We appreciate if you tell about Framtidsbygder and the opportunity to apply for leader support as part of your implementation.

Developing projects and ideas have a tendency to create more ideas and developing projects. Together we can create conditions for even more development in our area. So please spread the word!

Requirements, tips, and advice along the way

Here you will find information that is good to have with you during the project's progress.
If you have further questions or concerns, you are of course warmly welcome to contact the leader office.

Apply for advance payment

You can apply for payment of advance when you have received the formal decision. All support recipients can apply for advance except authorities and municipalities.

The granted support consists of two parts, one part from the Swedish Board of Agriculture and one from Leader Future Regions. It is stated in the decision how much support you can receive from the Swedish Board of Agriculture. That amount forms the basis for what you can receive as an advance. You can apply for up to 50% of the Swedish Board of Agriculture's part in advance, but no more than 250,000 kronor.

Keep in mind that an advance is part of your project support and you must report expenses even for this amount when applying for partial and final payments. You apply for an advance via My Pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Apply for partial payment

You can apply for partial payment when you have received your support decision and have incurred expenses for the project. You can apply for partial payment for an activity in the project or for a specific time period, but remember that expenses must be paid before you can apply for payment for them.

When and if to apply for a partial payment is up to the project owner and depends on the scope of the project. However, we advise everyone to make at least one application for partial payment for the project and then continuously as needed. You apply for partial payments via My Pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Be careful with the payment proof

In addition to invoice copies, you also need payment proof showing that the payments have gone through. A payment proof can be downloaded from the internet bank, often you can click on “Historical payments” or similar.
The following must be stated on the payment proof:

  • Payment date
  • Paid amount
  • Sender (which account the money was withdrawn from)
  • Recipient (that the payment has gone to the same plusgiro, bankgiro, or account number as stated on the invoice)
  • That the payment has been completed.
Report voluntary time

If voluntary time is included in the project: Remember to continuously write down your hours throughout the project period. This facilitates the work with reporting/documenting voluntary time. You can account for your voluntary time from the moment your application is submitted via My Pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

You can find forms for time reporting on the page Forms and Logos. But you can choose to create your own lists in, for example, Excel. The main thing is that it is clear who has done something, when it was done, and what has been done. The lists should also include contact information, such as phone numbers, for those who have contributed with voluntary work. In connection with the final reporting, you should email a summary of voluntary time to the Leader office.

What requirements are there to make the leader project visible?
When an EU fund is involved in financing a project, there are requirements that the EU logo must always be clearly visible in the informational material. This applies, for example, to advertisements, information sheets, and web pages.

In addition to the logo for the EU fund (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development) from which the project has received funding, the Leader logo must also be included. Your funding decision contains information about what applies. If you feel uncertain, contact us, and we will assist you with instructions on how to do it correctly.

Logos can be downloaded via the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website along with information on how and when these should be used. There are also detailed instructions on how the logos should be used depending on whether it is printed or digital material. Vector-based file formats of the logos are also available via the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Go to the Swedish Board of Agriculture's page about EU logos

Complete the project

When the project is completed, it is time to apply for final payment and reporting of the project. In connection with the reporting of the project, you will be asked questions related to the results and experiences that the work has led to. Once the application for final payment is submitted, you will be contacted by us at the Leader office for a follow-up interview.

Get in touch with us

When you complete the project, it is time to apply for final payment and report. You do this via My Pages on the Swedish Board of Agriculture's website.

Remember to contact us at the office before you submit the application for final payment. We will help you and review your documents and reporting. We do this to reduce the risk of expenses that are not approved being reported. Such errors cannot be corrected afterwards and may lead to deductions from the grant amount.

Reporting and final payment

Be proactive! Your decision states the project's end date. You must submit the application for final payment so that the Swedish Board of Agriculture has received it by this date at the latest. If you apply after your end date, you will receive a deduction from the granted support.

If the project encounters problems and cannot be reported on time, it is important that you apply for an extension of the project. This should be done before the project's original end date. Contact us at the Leader office if there is a risk that you will not be able to report the project on time.

Tell us how it went

In addition to interviewing you after the completed project, we would like to be able to tell others about the project's results and how it was implemented. Good examples can inspire others and encourage more to take the plunge. We gladly accept pictures/videos, links to articles, etc., that have come about thanks to the project. We will publish them along with a brief project description here on the Framtidsbygder website.
